I purchased one of your 2CoolPC cooling systems last Sat (10/23/99). I installed it that night in my ATX case with an Abit BX6 rev. 2 motherboard. This Abit board has a built on temperature sensor and it is what I use for my results. Here's what I found.
Easy to install, It took all of about 3 minutes to install. I didn't have to disassemble the system either. My only comment would be to include some doublesided Velcro to keep your product in-place. Just a thought.
Very quite. I did not get the double ball bearing fan (you had sold out). But the unit does not buzz or vibrate.
Now for the best part, cooling! On average 18 degrees above ambient (73 outside 91 inside down from 102). This drop came within 5 minutes after installed and held there the rest of the day!
I feel you product does exactly as you said, "Circulate the air inside". Such a simple but effective idea!

Hi Oscar, it's Tom....The door prize winner at the Pomona Computer Show on SAT 10/23. Well, from what you said when you gave me my cooler this afternoon I was expecting a lot. I am not dissapointed at all!! I own an Intel Celeron 500 based PC that I run overclocked at 560 Mhz. Obviously cooling is an important consideration for me. The PC's got everything, two Hard Disks, two CD ROM Drives (1 burner, 1 reader). A Riva TNT AGP Video Card (gets HOT) not to mention the regular stuff in the PCI slots to drive it all. I have been running 2 fans to try to keep it all cool and, for the most part it's been okay at 103 - 105 degrees F. Enter your product....I laid it in the case and had it all going in about 2 minutes...When I restarted the PC and brought up my temperatur monitor I see that the temperature is Rock Solid down around 90-92 Degrees F!!! This is absolutely wonderful....You were right, I probably got the best door prize at the show today! Well worth the purchase price, but even better as a prize.

Out of my 8yrs in the repair business, I have never read about or heard about a cooling system that truly works. Overheating is a dirty little secret in the industry. Alot of error's will occur once a PC start to overheat. If you can control the heat then you can control the error's. This product does exactly what it says. It cool's your PC. I've tried the 2COOLPC in my own PC and now recommend it to anyone who has heating problems. Thanks 2COOLPC! Your product is 2 cool.

I must say, so far, I'm impressed! I put the "plus" unit in the Server that runs most of Overclockers.com (Dual PII 400 SECC2 overclocked to 448 with 4 10,000 RPM UW2 SCSI drives) and lowered the processor temp 7F measued at the Internal diode! This Server has been a problem with running hot. I have wanted to add a 120mm Fan to the front of the case (It just has a slow ass 80mm now) but cannot take the Server down for the length of time I need to to gut the case and enlarge the hole in the front. This was an easy, simple way to cool things off!
Can't wait to see what it does to my Athlon system. The CPU runs at 112F measured on the heatsink right now.

Thanks for the speedy delivery of my cooler; it arrived yesterday. I have a Dell Dimension XPS 400 machine with 3 SCSI devices, so I ordered the heavier duty fan. Installation required extensive plastic surgery (pun intended), but was eventually able to get the cover back on. It seems to work fine based on qualitative checks; whereas my SCSI hard drive (spinning at 7500 rpm) used to feel like a hot coffee mug, it now is just barely warm to the touch after 3-4 hours service. The other check is at the 400 Mhz CPU heat sink; it also is just barely warm. Hope this Dell experience is helpful to you, and might suggest that your instructions include a note saying duct modification with scissors to make it fit probably won't diminish device performance much. The velcro patches are an enormous help, but could use a couple more to support the wimpy ductwork I have after the scissors job.

Hi,
First when I saw the fan I didn't believe that it really would do a good job in cooling my system down. I was like: "one fan isn't enough". But it wasn't so. It cools my system almost so good down as my 5 intake and exhaust fans. There are only 2 °C difference. BTW: it is very silent, too. IMPRESSIVE !

I was getting a lot of "Windows has performed an illegal operation" error messages. I can' t tell you how many times I have reloaded my software. Then I heard on KFI AM640 Jeff Levy's computer talk show. He mentioned that a lot of your windows errors could be just overheating. Your computer will give you an error messages. He highly recommended the 2COOLPC. I went ahead and purchased the 2COOLPC-PLUS unit. I must say he was absolutely right!! I have not had one signal error message in 3 weeks. THIS PRODUCT IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! I will be recommending it to all my friends. I will also be listening to Jeff Levy show from now on!!!

Last Saturday (02-26-2000) i got my 2COOLPC-PLUS and installed it in tree minutes. After powering on my system an running it for 30 min in CPU Benchmarks i was impressed. The temparature of the CPU was falling down by 5 degrees celsius then before. With this great cooling device i am able to overclock my PIII 450 to 621 MHz without running out of temparature. Overall is the 2COOLPC-PLUS the best cooling system i have ever had.

FEEDBACK I am a network administrator for a company that does Computer Aided Designing. I was more then skeptical when my boss handed me these pieces of plastic with a fan in them (2Coolpc-Plus) and asked me to install them in some our most problem computers. He told me, "they should put an end to most of our down time". I must admit, I laughed a bit and thought he was out of his mind! Boy, was I wrong! This was a back in December 1999. In 2 months, the computers I installed them in have never run better and have had no down time that I can think of. I am now a true believer. Today (2/28/2000) I put in a request for a P.O. for 77 more 2Coolpc pluses.
If you are a network administrator, I strongly recommend trying the 2Coolpc for your companies PCs. You will be amazed at the difference the reliability of your systems.

I must say it definatly does work. My system temps dropped between 6-8 degrees and remained lower especially when the system was run hard under 3d games.. It was shipped extremely fast and installed in 5 minutes..I added a strip of velcro to make sure it stays in place.. otherwise a great product!

I have a pIII @533 mhz at the moment. As there is alot of heat where my machine is situated I noticed it slowing up at certain times of day. Then fitted the 2cool system...Result ! my pc is a lot faster thanks to your product and not too pricey either . keep up the good work.

I'll start by giving my system config:
P3 550 - standard HSF Asus P3B-F - standard HS Diamond TNT2 Ultra 32mb - standard HSF 128mb 100mhz RAM --- Peripherals --- SBlive Platinum Hauppage WinTV PCI LAN Card (Generic) ISA 56k Modem
10x DVD/40x CD 24x CD 20.5gb Quantum Fireball LM PLus (7200rpm/UDMA 66) 4.3gb Quantum Fireball (5400rpm/UDMA 66) (both run on UDMA mode 2) --- Case --- Full Tower ATX
I had clocked the CPU to 633 with FSB @ 115mhz. The cpu maxed at 58 degC. Warm, but not dangerously so. I installed the 2coolpc plus along with a chassis fan and vantec case blower, and the results were impressive. The MB temp stayed about the same but the CPU temp dropped by about 10 deg C!! At idle it was around 25 deg (at proper 550x100, the CPU ran at 47 degC and maxed at about 53 deg). So, I whacked the FSB up to 120mhz and it runs sweeter than a sweet thang on sweet pills :) The 2coolpcplus throws cool air on the CPU, the AGP card, the MB chipset and the RAM. It works perfectly! Impressive stuff! cant wait to chuck an Alpha on the CPU!

This is one product that every computer should come with from the computer manufacture. It "really works" is a major understatment.The only tool needed is a screwdriver to remove the PC case. The time to install 2coolpc is about one minute if it is your first time. On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate it 25.

I bought a new computer desk and it has a cabinet for the tower to set in, when i put it in there and run the computer for about an hour i feel a hot stream of air coming from the tower, and sometimes runnig High Graphic 3D games it would lock up ,so i decided to try the 2COOLPC-PLUS System, and after a less than 5 min install, no more hot stream of air, now its a cool to warm stream and my system runs great, no lock ups or errors.
Way to go 2COOLPC-PLUS.

Hey guys, I was one of the guys that came over to your shop with Sam last Wed. May 24th. I want to thank you guys for the quick tour of your shop and for the great product that you make. I went home that night and had it in the computer in less than two min. and was very happy with the drop in temp. right from the start.
I acted just like Jeff Levy and was not really sure how well the 2 cool pc plus would work but it works well and I know that the other guy that got one told me that he tested it with a heat gun and was very happy with the way it cooled. He is now pushing 502 mz with his 450 and has no heat problem.

WinSystem98 reports an 8~10 degrees F decrease in motherboard temperature (that's the only temp monitored by my motherboard). I detected no increase in external noise. System includes 5 HD (4 7200 rpm IDE, 1 SCSI, P-II 400, and Nvidia Geoforce GTS video card, along with 512 MB SDRAM.
Installation took 5 minutes. Most of that getting the case off.

The device solved my computer problem. My machine would simply shut itself off on warm days (especially when running Flight Simulator 2000). With the 2 Cool I have yet to see this problem even when running the most demanding applications.

Before I purchased the 2CPC+ I had doubts about whether or not it would fit into my jammed case. Not only did it fit but it almost fell into place. I used no method of affixing it.(thanks for the vlcro tabs anyhow) I had a wire monstrosity going on inside my case, so i looped them outside the 2CPC+ and that holds it in place, while routing my wires outside the cooling flow that they had previously blocked. The fan is very quiet, which was another concern I had when I saw the contraption. I have just yanked my VooDoo3 and replaced it with a VooDoo5 which runs much coolerthan the 3. Before installation the VD5 idled at 118.5 degrees F, now it's idling at 89F. The VD3 was way hotter, it idled around 138F or so. If you have a VD3 the 2CPC+ should be mandatory. Not quick and dirty,quick and elegant.

I ordered the 2CoolPC-Plus system from 2CoolPC and it arrived the next day. The system is GREAT! I usually had my system hovering to 53 degrees Celsius, but thanks to the 2CoolPC-Plus, it's now been knocked down to a nice 38 degrees Celsius. This thing is awesome! Thanks guys, you rock.

You should warn customers more about the space requirements. My 2COOLPC-PLUS did not fit in my machine as there is not enough space between the cards and the side. Removing my cards is not an option. I own a Dell Dimension XPS R400.
However, I am extremely impressed with the quality of the fan. I popped it out of the duct and replaced my built-in case fan with it, and it seems to have trippled airflow in my case. I do not consider myself dissatisfied due to how this has worked out but I would likely have paid less if I knew I was only going to use the fan.

I read the feed back of one customer, who stated he couldn't use the duct system because there was not enough room, his system was a Dell five hundered series. I have a Dell XPS 450 I had to modify the duct system or remove it all together.If the system fits its a piece of cake.

Yet another success story here with the 2COOLPC unit.
Last summer, an old Pentium 233 MMX system would occasionally emit a long, continuous beep. We never could figure this out, because after a week or two, it stopped beeping.
This summer, when the temperature became very hot again (over 30 degrees Celcius), the computer started its beep thing again. After realizing this could very well be a heat-related problem, I placed the 2COOLPC unit in the machine, and it hasn't overheated since.

Hey, South Bay Engineering, you shouldn't market this thing as a cooling unit. You should market it as a cure all for PCs. I was getting constant windows errors and blue screens. After installing the 2Coolpc+ my computer has never performed better. I haven't had any more windows errors or blue screens. GREAT PRODUCT! I am running an Athlon based PC with a 700mhz Processor overclocked to 950. I run the new Voodoo 5500 AGP video card, so I generate a lot of heat. I have a large server tower with both my hard drives in removable racks. This has allowed me to put 2 PC cooler plus's in my machine. I have had NO problems whatsoever with heat in my machine. This is a GREAT product!!!!

Quake 3 ran for 4 straight hours with my GeForce card overclocked to the max and every graphic thingy turned on !! I have never over-clocked my system.My system is a ibm clone pent. III 500mghz, the video card has 64 meg has its own memory. I have a western Digital 4.3 7200rpm hard drive. After having reviewed and tested many aftermarket cooling devices, from cpu coolers to extra case fans, this unit does a great job. These guys came up with a product that does an excellent overall job of cooling your entire pc. Instead of buying multiple coolers (ie cpu. hard drive), get this "all-in-one" unit that really does "do-it-all". Thumbs up to the people at South bay for a product that every pc owner needs! ok, i went to the convention at the fairplex in pomona, california, yesterday and i had my mind set on buying the 2coolpc cooling system.
i had wanted the "turbo", but they sold out...so i decided over the night (it really was a big thing for me) and decided to get the plus version instead.
man... this thing just rocks!!! a 20 degrees difference? i am impressed. i dn't even overclock, but i noticed the difference in system speed and responsiveness. and it i can't even hear it!
now, i WANT to overclock!
the cheapest and easiest upgrade that ANYONE could ever make!

Awesome product and great service. Running a PIII 450 on a P3V4X MB, I saw a 10c decrease in full load temp. Also, I was thoroughly impressed by how fast it was delivered. I will recommend this product to all my friends and customers.

Disappointed! System...Athlon 950 Mhz (not overclocked),256MB RAM, 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP, Creative PC-DVD/MPEG Decoder Card, Creative SoundBlaster Live and 30 GB Maxtor HD. I have the ATX Power Supply fan, 2 fans on the Vodoo card, 3 fans pulling in air over the HD and the Golden Orb cooling fan on the CPU. That's 7 fans and now I have added the 2CoolPC-Plus fan and I get no reduction in CPU temperature with the case closed. I have even enlarged the vents in the case sides, but no change. I do see an improvemnt with the case open. The temperature drops from 38 deg.C to 35 deg. With the case closed the temperature stays at 44 deg. C. May have to try round IDE cables to help with the air flow. Ken

Up unti a year ago I always used a mac. Really never had troubles with the ones I used. Except a early model G4 that had a defective Mother Board that would burn up hard drives every other month until Apple gave in and admited there was a flaw. But before they admited to that I thought I would give the PC a shot. It wasn't as trouble free as I expected so between just sitting here or being in the shop where it was built I got very little use from it. It was always something different causing my troubles. >My locks up > my illegal entries > this program will shut down > I was ready to throw the thing out to the trash men and stick with the go no where fast Mac. But a friend told me about 2cool and this fan thing. So I said to my self > "self you have spent more money on useless utility software that would solve theses issues and all for naught. Whats another 30-40 bucks to give this fan thing a whirl. Well I did and so far on the third week and I don't remember shuting down the PC one time. I shut off the monitor but the PC stays on and not once have I had any error messages. The builder doesn't miss me one bit and the drive back and forth to the comp place has being elimanated has paid off the fan in gas money I have saved. 2Cool Guys great work. Who ever it was that said check heat factors gets my hate's off to. *****

ABC MID Tower-AMD 1.0gig processor (not overclocked) twin 30 gig Maxtor ata-100 7200rpm hard/drs- Elsa Gladiac video card- Creative Plat 5.1 Live Sound. I kept burning out the hard drives. With the 2Cool+ it lowered the temp on the processer 11 deg F., however the motherboard kept overheating. I called South Bay Engineering (2Cool) and talked to Paul and asked if I could return the unit. He told me of course, no problem. He then spent a good ten or fifteen minutes explaining overheating to me, and even suggested possible solutions that didn't include his product for my unique situation. (What a class act!) As it turns out, it seems that the problem was caused by a bad motherboard. South Bay Promply credited my credit card, (even for the S&H)! I couldn't recommend this company any higher! I will be recommending 2 Cool PC Products to anyone with heating problems. PS. I live in the desert.

I saw a live demo by one of your company reps at Fry's. I couldn't believe how fast it droped the temperature. The rep assured me that if I wasn't happy with it I can return it for a full refund. I got one to try and see if it was a scam. I was completely shock to find out exactly how well it worked. I have seen many products that work well in demo's (like many TV products claim to do)and don't work at all in the real world. I thought this was one of them. I'm writing this because this thing really works great! It shocked me to see that my machine had better results then the demo at Fry's, WOW! Great Product!
